We are excited and proud to welcome you to the ninth ECINEQ conference, running from Wednesday, 8 July, through to Saturday, 10 July, 2021.
Our internationally renowned keynote speakers are Professors Richard Blundell (UCL) and Florencia Torche (Stanford). Stephen Jenkins (LSE) will give the Presidential lecture. There is also a special panel session on Data and Evidence to end Extreme Poverty (Thursday evening). And of course at the heart of the conference are the many parallel sessions. We also look forward to seeing you at the General Assembly on Friday evening.
We are sad that we cannot welcome you to the LSE in person, but very happy that we can host you at this online conference and very much hope you enjoy it!
We, the local organisers, would like to extend profound and heartfelt thanks to our friends at the EEA who helped us organise this conference online, in particular Gemma Prunner-Thomas (EEA General Manager) whose help has been invaluable. We would also like to extend our thanks to the students from the ERASMUS School of Economics who are helping us with the management of the sessions.
Flaviana Palmisano (ECINEQ General Secretary) has provided advice and also made important contributions to the planning and organisation of the Conference. We could not have done it without her. We also wish to thank the ECINEQ Executive Committee, and the Conference Scientific Committee, for advice and selection of accepted papers.
Last but not least, we acknowledge the helpful assistance of Liza Ryan and Meliz Ahmet (LSE International Inequalities Institute).
Thank you, everyone!
Your local organisers (Frank Cowell, Chico Ferreira, and Stephen Jenkins)
