Olga Alonso-Villar is Professor of Economics at the Department of Applied Economics at the Universidade de Vigo (Spain). She holds a PhD in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Her current research areas are inequality and welfare, segregation in the labor market, and the economics of gender and race. Her contributions are both methodological and empirical.
